MSM Used for Cleaning/Rinsing Eyes
NOTE:
Recently, the FDA has stopped all sales of MSM eye
drops...(imagine that) so we can only provide the recipe for you
to make them.
The
eye is an open mucus membrane, so is important to keep this area
cleansed. MSM solution is very soothing and strengthening for tired
eyes.
Your
eye is like a water balloon. The optical tissue normally allows
fluids to flow through the membrane wall, which acts like a
filter, supplying nutrition and cleaning out particles, keeping
your eye clear so your vision is good. When the membranes become
tough like leather, fluids are trapped, and particles start to
build up. If the build up continues, it will seem as if you are
looking through frosted glass. One's eyes should also be
flexible, so the muscles can change the eye's contour and focus.
When one's eye membranes and muscles become tough, the eye can't
focus properly and vision becomes blurry.
When
our eyes become irritated: Most eye drops and medications deaden
the nerves and cover the pain but the problem is not solved and
the discomfort returns. We in turn buy more eye drops to relieve
the discomfort.
MSM
eye drops soften the membranes, allowing fluids to pass through
the optical tissues. When our optical membranes become
permeable, nutrients are able to penetrate through the optical
tissues and provide nutrients needed for the body to heal
itself. MSM softens tough-leathery tissue, equalizes pressure,
repairs damaged membranes, clears up red spots and broken blood
vessels and helps remove floaters and other eye particles. For
contact lenses, it's better than saline solutions because MSM
eye drops provide soothing, lasting relief with no burning or
stinging. Some Doctor's are prescribing MSM eye drops and their
patients are seeing results.
To
prepare a MSM eyewash solution, using
the teaspoon/tablespoon measuring spoon provided with 1-lb
MSM powder flakes (do NOT use fine MSM powder as this
contains silicon dioxide. The MSM flake is the purest MSM
form available), heat 10 tablespoons of isotonic saline solution
(available in any drugstore) in a small, carefully-cleaned
glass pan for a few minutes. Add 1 teaspoon MSM flakes
and stir until it dissolves. Then use a glass eye wash cup
(available in drugstores) and rinse eyes.
The solution should ideally be prepared freshly before
each use to prevent eye infection, as no preservatives
and/or bactericidal ingredients are added.
However, one can buy a bottle of Visine, empty it out and
use the bottle for a good eye dropper.
